Time to take a breather!
After a busy holiday season and a much too long absence I'm back with my first post of the almost New Year. One of my resolutions is try new things with my clay, I have so many books and have had little time to try anything new so I'm going to make sure this year I leave time to play and sculpt.
And my first experiment turned out with these delightful sugar tulips! I also crafted some sweet little daisies with this technique that will be making their way into my store.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Justice for Mercy
This is Mercy. She was stabbed, doused in gasoline and set on fire by her owner because she would not breed to give him puppies to sell. Mercy was found huddled in bushes and was taken in for emergency care. Mercy died ten days later, she was only 10 months old.
Her killer Deshawn Brown was convicted Thursday on animal cruelty charges.
Jurors reached the verdict on the same day closing arguments were presented. Mr. Brown, 22, faces up to 10 years in prison.
You rest in peace sweet girl. I'm sorry you suffered so much in your short life, but you were loved by many at the end.

Dead Like Me MOVIE!!!
And possible series again!! I am so excited!! Just ran across this newS from July 2007. So my plea for the Dead Like Me fans, BUY THIS DVD.
A little over two months ago, I told you that a made-for-DVD movie was in the works for Showtime's Dead Like Me. Ellen Muth, star of the series, announced on her MySpace page that she's been informed the series could make a come back on TV if the movie sells well.
In her post, Muth mentions a new concept being featured in the movie and that fans should give it a chance. Does that mean reapers will not get Post Its anymore?
Muth says that she is not allowed to talk about said new concept or the movie. The only info she does give is in answer to whether Mandy Patinkin is back or not: "It's no secret that Mandy has his own show now so he can't be involved in two at once so, there you go." In one reply to fan comments, the actress says "Change is the only thing in life that remains constant." After seeing that fans are reacting to the word "change" a little too much, the actress tries to reassure everyone by saying that "it's still the same story line [and] just a few new changes [are] being [because] Mandy isn't in it and because time, two years, have passed."
Ellen Muth also reveals that Bryan Fuller is not involved with the movie since he is working on Heroes. Muth says that if the series comes back to life it is possible it won't be on Showtime. She doesn't know if it will be on Sci Fi or another network. "I think the producers will have to shop it around," she answers.

Mmmm I'm all tingly
~Ripper~
The former “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” star is definitely not going back to Sunnydale anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean his adventures have ended entirely as the Anthony Stewart Head spin-off series “Ripper” is about to finally come to life.
“It’s more likely than it has been for some time,” Head told SyFy Portal’s Alan Stanley Blair during the recent Collectormania convention in Glasgow, Scotland. “Joss [Whedon], I think I’ve actually got to talk to him to find out if he’s got it. It’s all about Fox now, whether Fox will give permission but the BBC [is] up for it.”

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of her father's death, Lisa Marie Presley not only decided to sing, but to sing with him. "I wanted to use this for something good," of her posthumous 'In the Ghetto' duet with Elvis Presley. "All fingers pointed towards New Orleans." She filmed the video in the hurricane-ravaged city, and all proceeds from the video and single will benefit a new Presley Place transitional housing campus there.

You got a little drool right there ...
Mucho good interview with Joss.
On Angel finale:
People kept calling it a cliffhanger. I was like, "Are you mad, sir? Don't you see that that is the final statement?"And then they would say "Shut up".

Dresden Files Cancelled
I'm so saddened to hear this. I have the kiss of death, if I watch something and enjoy it is bound to be cancelled.
TV Guide's Matt Roush broke the news to fans saying that the show just didn't make a big enough profit for the network to continue production.

Electric Tiki Buffy
I'm so very tickled with the upcoming Electric Tiki Buffy line. The initial sketches just look fabulous, and I can't wait to see what they do with the line. I was so disappointed with what DST did with their license and how the quality just plummented in that line, I am now doubly excited to see what ET does.

The Lab Assistant
Igor's head. Sadly Igor has no body, I didn't like the original sculpt I did so it was trashed but I couldn't part with the head. I'm hoping at some point to give the body one more try, if I remember correctly it was the shoulders and such that gave me problems. I also gave him a brain to hold and someone said it reminded them of a loaf of bread. HA. Not quite what I was going for.

Will the Vampire People Please Leave the Lobby?
New Buffy fandom book out, it looks like a cute read.
Allyson Beatrice lives a not-quite-ordinary life. Her job and almost everyone she knows are the result of spending too much time on the Internet talking about vampires, slayers and lesbian witches. And her encounters are even more unusual than you'd imagine. A hilarious collection of true stories from Allyson's days as one of the Internet's leading cult TV fan gurus, her mind-boggling escapades include meetings with network executives in dark steakhouses to try to save doomed TV shows and one hastily arranged wedding for two committed Buffy fans. Honest, emotional and side-splittingly snarky, Allyson Beatrice brings a fresh voice to these wild but true stories. Will the Vampire People Please Leave the Lobby? welcomes you to a fun and sometimes bizarre world where stupidity frustrates, wit triumphs and connections are made in most unlikely ways...a world, in fact, not too different from our own.

The Sopranos .. still
A friend gave me this link which has a pretty good theory on the Sopranos ending. I was in the camp of the "Tony died" people, so I was pleased to read this breakdown.

Mysterious and Spooky
The new M&Ms commerical for their dark chocolate candies featuring The Addams Family is simply brilliant. And much to my joy I found the most addicting game ever when viewing the commercial online
