Happy Accident

So I wasn't all that pleased with my resin experiment (see previous post), I don't think I mixed the resin right or I'm just too damn picky and they probably looked fine and I just found some tiny flaw I didn't like.

So I soaked the frames to remove the paper so I could salvage the frames .. and whadda ya know after I peeled the resin from the frames I had the prettiest little translucent images that had transferred to the resin. Excuse my gluey fingers.

You really can't tell up against the white since that compliments and brings out the color, but they are very interesting looking and not a lost cause after all!

Now that is a cool transfer effect!

I understand your frustration with resin. I have tried a few brands of UV resin but I am not getting 'wow' results like I would have hoped, and of course all the darn tiny bubbles..lol.

So do you think you will go forward and turn your resin transfers into something new??

Have fun,
Angie

If you exhale on the resin the carbon dioxide in your breath will break the bubbles, but you almost pass out from it.

Or if you have a propane torch handy that'll work too. And who doesn't have that on hand?!
